EMBODIED EQUINE THERAPY

This document sets out the Equine Therapy Service Terms established between us (Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb) and you (the registered animal owner or individual requesting our services) which comes into being when you ask us to provide Physiotherapy and Bodywork therapy services.

Accepting these conditions confirms that you are over 18 years or age.

1. If your horse/pony is under current veterinary supervision, Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb will obtain veterinary permission, as required by law, prior to any hands-on therapy session commencing.

2. Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb is a qualified and insured Equine Bodyworker, not a vet and is unable to diagnose.

3. It is the responsibility of the Owner of the horse/pony to action any recommendations or advice provided by Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb, to facilitate the best short- and long-term outcome in the rehabilitation and/or maintenance and/or general health and well-being of the horse/pony.

4. Whilst every care is taken of your horse/pony by Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb throughout a therapy session, it is done so entirely at the owner's risk.

5. Horses/ponies with a diagnosed or suspected contagious/infectious condition will not be seen. If there is a contraindication to treatment upon arrival by Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb the full cost of the treatment will still need to be paid.

6. ​Owners are required to notify Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb if, during the course of sessions, the equine's injury or condition worsens, and/or if the Veterinary Surgeon advises that sessions should be stopped or suspended.

7. Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb reserves the right to refuse to see any horse/pony.

8. For safety reasons, Owners are requested to be present on the yard at all times during the session. In the event that the Owner is unable to attend, a member of Staff employed by the yard or appropriate adult is requested to be present at all times during the therapy session.

9. Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb reserve the right to use video footage and/or photographic stills taken during sessions unless otherwise discussed.

10. Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb does not take responsibility whatsoever for any accident/injury sustained either by the therapist or the equine’s owner/handler, before, during or following the therapy session.
    

11. Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property, howsoever occasioned, whilst on business/institute/yard premises.

12. Any appointment cancelled within 24hrs or failure to attend an arranged appointment will still need to be paid for (unless otherwise discussed in advance).
    

13. Payment is due in full on the day (unless otherwise discussed). Payment can be made via BACs or cash. A late payment charge of £5 per day will be incurred as of seven working days from the date of the therapy session.
    

14. By commencing any therapy session(s) with Embodied Equine Therapy/Gemma Webb, you are agreeing to these Equine Therapy Service Terms and Conditions.
